A New Kind of Profile
Most online profiles emphasize what already happened. A Future-Self Page asks a different question: what future are you trying to build, and which parts of that journey do you want to share?
A StarWho member can choose to publish a page with a custom link. The page is designed to make personal progress visible without requiring the owner to publish private journal text.
What Appears on a Future-Self Page?
Depending on the owner's settings and recorded activity, a page can include:
- A digital Future Self Pet and growth stage. The visual evolves with recorded progress.
- A future statement. A short, owner-approved description of who the person is becoming.
- Selected activity counts. For example, reading, completed tasks, reflections, or belief updates.
- A growth path. Monthly highlights based on the sections the owner chooses to show.
- An optional public Future Self conversation. Its context is limited to information the owner has permitted the public experience to use.
What Stays Private
Publishing is opt-in. StarWho's public-card settings separate the page itself from individual sections, and sensitive categories are not automatically shared with the public conversation. Members should review every visibility option before publishing and avoid sharing information they would not want indexed or forwarded.
Turning a page private later can stop public access, but it cannot retrieve screenshots or copies that other people may already have made.
What a Future-Self Page Is Useful For
- Keeping a visual record of your own growth.
- Sharing a future vision with a trusted friend or family member.
- Letting an accountability partner see selected progress.
- Celebrating a Future Self Pet milestone.
- Starting a conversation about values, routines, or goals.
What It Does Not Prove
A Future-Self Page is not a background check, professional credential, medical record, or objective measurement of character. Most information is entered or generated from activity recorded by the member. Visitors should treat it as personal expression and conversation context—not proof that a person will reach a goal or behave in a particular way.
Used with those limits in mind, it can make an otherwise private journey easier to see and share by choice.
